Mývetningur maintains a strong skiing activity in Krafla! The mountain is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:30-18 and Saturdays from 10-11:30 (weather permitting).

During the Winter Festival, the mountain will be open outside of that time as the weather allows. Follow the opening on the ski area's facebook page.

Please note that the ski lift is closed on Saturday 12 March while the Icelandic Snocross Championship takes place in Krafla.

The ski resort is run by volunteers. It costs nothing to go to the mountains, but they accept donations!
